Time to work! Rebecca (wife) and I have been busy preparing for the next chapter in life. After our cancellation with BASS our sponsors have bought into our plan of attack for our new national TV show. For the record I have been extremely fortunate to have wonderful top shelf manufactures to represent. These are companies that have stuck with me through thick and thin of years fishing and promoting full time. I'm grateful to every one of them.
Back to Jarrett Edwards Outdoors national TV. My wife and I have been through numerous production trainings for what seems like eternity. As with everything else in life, to be the best you surround yourself with the best and that's what we are about. We have purchased the very latest in high dollar HD equipment. Its exciting to shoot, edit and deliver in High Definition. The quality is amazing. Basically by owning your own production company you can be in control of your own quality, music and uniqueness you bring to the show. I feel to be a stand alone show; I need to bring my personality into the mix, not what works for the other guy. Second I can now help out sponsors and other manufacturers by doing commercials and filming specialty events. This is a feather in our cap. Being fairly new on this side of the business there is A LOT to learn. It doesn't come easy or cheap either. We have a long way to go but each day is another great learning experience. I love the challenge. Finally by owning your own equipment I save about $250,000 annually. However there is a reason that big time production companies charge a lot, because they are worth it. They have large crews and can crank out shows ASAP. Being a 3 man crew requires many more office hours. We shoot underwater with the most amazing HD camera possible, the camera weighs about 38 pounds and can dive down to 450 feet, much deeper than I ever want to go, did I mention I can get a hummer for about the same price!!! The smaller HD cam is designed for helicopter and high speed aerial shots and the other HD cameras are for above multi camera shots. Without getting into too much detail at present the show will consist of: - Me as the host with guest from all walks of life. (Youngest TV host) - Multi species angling for a variety of fresh/saltwater angling - fly, baitcast and spinning. - First national TV show dedicated to the western US! - Combining my passion for cancer and the outdoors in one place! More on this at a later date! Other than filming I will still be writing for various publications and making appearances across the country. Hope to run into you sometime! In close I'm a dreamer, I get this from my father who is a very large dreamer. I have been taught from the best; he works hard and has succeeded at everything he attempts. He has taught me that life is what you make of it. If you really want something, then go after it and whatever you do NEVER ever QUIT. I have used his philosophy through life and learned a great bit from it. That is where we are at, faced with what many would call an impossible act in our time frame? Lemonade anyone???
